Question by _______: Your thoughts?? The president of World Bank has stated that “new global governance” is indeed the goal?
Speaking about the agenda to increase not just funding but power for international organizations on the back of the financial crisis, Zoellick stated, “If leaders are serious about creating new global responsibilities or governance, let them start by modernising multilateralism to empower the WTO, the IMF, and the World Bank Group to monitor national policies.”

As to be expected, Zoellick is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. He also attended the annual invitation-only conferences of the Bilderberg Group in 1991, 2003, 2006 and 2007.

Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will use the G20 summit in London to extend an olive branch to China, offering them a central role in the construction of a new world order and a global government, according to reports.

“Brown will hold talks with Hu Jintao, China’s president, following discussions with Barack Obama, amid signs that developing countries see the G20 summit as a chance to impose a new world order and end the era of Anglo-European dominance,” reports the Guardian.

It is a constant battle of control. Sometimes governments have too much power, sometimes individuals or other groups do. In the case of the current financial collapse, it was the individuals who began to ruin the system. It is therefore logical that government be empowered to fix the problem. If the government begins to be the problem again, then it will be disempowered accordingly. The world bank president is right. It’s time for guys like Madoff to open their books.

I don’t really care. I believe a global government is inevitable. People may resist it, but our history is a constant increase in the size of governments. First we organized ourselves as hunting/gathering family groups. Then as towns and city states. Next as territorial states and countries. It’s only a matter of time before an effective global government is put in place. We’ve already seen attempts with the League of Nations and the United Nations.

I won’t mourn the loss of US sovereignty any more than I mourned the loss of my state’s sovereignty to the federal government.

Edit: Yeah, I admit that’s kinda sad. You have to admit it isn’t wrong, though. I actually do mourn the loss of my state’s sovereignty to the federal government quite a bit.

Contrary to popular belief Comrade Obama does not report to the American people.

That is evedent in his books and in the origins of his campaign contributions.

Knowing that we know what Comrade Obama’s intentions are.

In Comrade Obama’s campaign he told the German people he was a man of the World not America.

[ “If leaders are serious about creating new global responsibilities or governance, let them start by modernising multilateralism to empower the WTO, the IMF, and the World Bank Group to monitor national policies.”

In other words, give global institutions the power to regulate national policy as part of the creation of global government.]

Monitoring policy and writing policy are hardly the same thing.

It is strange that only people who believe in ghosts ever see ghosts.
